College career fairs

Big companies often flock to career fairs to hire students straight out of school. As a college graduate, it behooves you to visit your former school on the day of these events and circulate your resume. Keep in touch with the guidance or career assistance center to make sure you know the dates of any big events.

Use your placement specialist

Most colleges have an on-site career center. Rely on it to find opportunities in your field. Schools often have a very good line on jobs for their own graduates and counselors here can very much help you in your search.

Call on old intern hosts

If you interned during college, use those contacts. Even if the company or agency you worked at has nothing open, the people there might know of other opportunities in the field.
